Our winemaker Brian is very excited to give you a ‘sneak peak’ of his Bolle D’amore Prosecco! Brian visited the winery in Asolo, in the Veneto region of North-eastern Italy, to finalise the wine prior to bottling last month. This shot was taken last week when they were packing up the container to ship back to Australia.
This Italian Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG is from the Province of Treviso in the Veneto Region. The town of Asolo is known as ‘The Pearl of Veneto’. Only Prosecco grown in the restricted area surrounding this town can be classified as Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG – The DOCG appellation is given only to the most premium Prosecco of Italy.
This Prosecco is an extra dry style, it is vibrant and fresh with pale straw colour, delicate aromatic nose and clean citrus fruit flavours. Prosecco is traditionally enjoyed as an aperitif however also pairs well with light seafood dishes such as “fritto misto” and fish carpaccio. It would pair perfectly with a Christmas seafood BBQ as well.
The Bolle D’amore (Bubbles of Love) Prosecco will hopefully make a special Xmas appearance. Keep your eyes peeled!
