We’re thrilled to have our Calneggia Asolo Prosecco DOCG featured in the February/March 2020 issue of Gourmet Traveller WINE’s ‘Best Buys’.
Contributing Editor, tasting panel member and columnist for the magazine, Huon Hooke, writes:
“Until the EU steps in, which could happen quite soon, Australians will continue to produce prosecco as fast as the public laps it up. Calneggia is a WA-based family company that decided to go offshore for its raw materials. The appearance is very light, with a persistent foam of fine bubbles. The aroma is straw-like, gently earthy and more savoury than floral or fruity. The palate is very dry and restrained, but has intensity and length. A young, simple, basic but pleasingly dry bubbly.” HH
