WINEMAKER’S NOTE: Deep purple colour with lifted, rich and ripe fruit with balanced oak flavours. Medium bodied palate with fine deep tannins and a succulent deep fruited finish.
VINTAGE: Wet spring and a combination of rain events and warm temperatures during summer made for long ripening in 2021. The humidity levels created challenging conditions for some areas in the region. However, good draining and ventilated sites benefited from the slow maturation and provided fruit with good flavour and fine tannins in red varieties.
VINEYARDS: Northern Margaret River selected vineyards, for fuller and more robust flavours.
VINIFICATION: Fermented for seven days on skins, pressed, and run off to seasoned oak. The wine was then matured for twelve months prior to release.

Dan Murphy’s Wine Panel: “Cabernet Merlot is a blend that Margaret River does very well. Here’s another success at a great price. You’ll enjoy its bright red fruit, say, raspberry and red currants, with freshening acidity, and with the oak influences of cocao, dark chocolate and cedar providing extra weight, complexity and dimension.” (2015 Vintage)

Ray Jordan: “Captures all that is good in this blend from the Yallingup region. Generous medium-weight fruit with a nice balance of chalky fine tannins and little oak.(2018 Vintage)
